There are many reasons why blocked drains occur:

There are two main options when it comes to unblocking drains:

Not all blockages can be cleared through the use of a plunger

Most households have a plunger and this is often the first thing to do when you notice a blocked drain. However, not all blockages can be cleared through the use of a plunger thus the rod or worm techniques. 

This involves thrusting a rod down your pipe in the attempt to dislodge the blockage or push it through – be warned this can actually make the situation worse especially if the debris has sharp edges which may crack your pipe or the blockage becomes lodged in a junction.

Hydroblasting

Hydroblasting is a method of in-pipe or sewer-drain line debris removal by means of high pressure, high-velocity water application.

While other pipe cleaning methods focus on removing blockage and debris within the passage areas of the pipe, hydroblasting specifically targets the pipe's wall lining.

In most situations, our technicians will survey the area with CCTV to establish the extent of the buildup. Once conditions are properly understood, our team will then utilize the correct techniques to ensure the end result is nothing less than 100% satisfaction.

The hydroblasting process entails the use of our high-pressured water pump and hose. 

The hose is introduced into the pipe in need of cleaning and high-pressure water is forced through the nozzle at a controlled velocity.

This ensures optimal strength is applied to remove unwanted substances without damaging the interior pipelining. When necessary, grit additives or other abrasives are added as a solution to enhance the cleaning process.

The high-pressure water stream is released throughout the pipe as a rotating umbrella, spraying in all directions. Based on our CCTV findings, different jet configurations of rotation speed, water pressure and varying numbers of streams all come together to create a unique combination for maximum pipeline and sewer cleaning.
